Enhancing Alliances: NDC team takes part in networking forum with Hon. Secretary Frederick Go

Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Sec. Frederick Go recently addressed the government’s strategies for the country’s economic development at the World Trade Center in a networking forum event.

He defined the key priority industries for the government as being mining, electronics and semiconductors, food and agriculture, steel, and medicines and medicinal devices.

Sec. Go, as an aside, also mentioned the National Development Company's Anton Mauricio, when it came to wafer production in electronics & semiconductors.

There are plans to convert the electronics and semiconductors industry into a base for product design and innovation, hopefully reeling in investment and job creation.

Ultimately, Sec. Go emphasized that achieving the objectives for these key priority industries must be done through the easing of business operations via reforms such as the simplification of VAT-related policies and improvement of customs administration.
